INVITATION TO BID
The Town of Wilbur is requesting bids for the repair of multiple town bridges. Bids will be received at P.O. Box 214,
14 NW Division Road, Wilbur, WA 99185, until 3:00 pm on September 12, 2019. Bids will be opened and read
publicly immediately following the close of bid receipt. No late or faxed bids will be accepted.
A pre-bid conference for this project will be held at 1:00 pm on September 6, 2019 at Wilbur Town Hall.
The project includes: Scour Repair for four scour critical bridges and an seven foot diameter culvert in the Town of
Wilbur: Division Street, Anne Street, Brace Street, Bell Street, and Blake Street. Scour repair work will consist of
diverting stream flows during low flow, removing silt buildup, and adding scour protection along abutments and
wingwalls to protect shallow foundations and prevent future erosion. Blake Street Culvert will be removed and
replaced and scour protection will be added at the inlet and outlet. Diverting, channel work, and scour repair shall be
in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, Contract Provisions and the Standard Specifications. The approximate
cost of construction is $280,000.

Bid must be submitted on the forms provided with the Contract Documents. A 5% bid bond will be required. 100%
performance and payment bonds will be required from the successful contractor. The contractor must be capable of
meeting all insurance and bonding requirements.
This project is funded by the FEMA and Washington Military Department, and is subject to all applicable state laws
and regulations. All work performed on this project will be subject to Washington State prevailing wage rates.
The Town of Wilbur reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive technicalities, and in its sole judgment,
accept the bid which it deems is in its best interest.
